Naomi Garcia

My name is Naomi, and I love colors! I love bright and bold colors, just as much as I love pastel colors. I am a junior at Hunter College, majoring in Media studies, concentrating in Emerging Media. I have always been very creative since I was young, adding a lot of my style and flavor to simple things like poster boards and PowerPoint presentations in middle school and high school. Having an interest in art runs in the family, my sister is an art teacher, my father works in pharmaceutical advertising and my grandfather was a painter. I hope to work in advertising, working on commercials or magazines. I also have an interest in designing stationery, such as folders, notebooks, etc.  

            I am a transfer student, I received my Associates degree in Liberal Arts from Borough of Manhattan Community College. While at BMCC, I took a few graphic design classes where I learned to work with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop. In some of my classes we created logos, posters, a brand-standards guide and more. I want to learn to master those applications and create some amazing designs.

          In my free time, I really enjoy shopping and decorating my bedroom. I am very interested in interior design and I use Pinterest a lot for inspiration for my room. I mix and match colors, and I change the theme of my room at least once a year, currently it is a movie theme. My room is very colorful and filled with posters from my favorite movies and TV shows such as Charmed, Seinfeld, Scream, Cruel Intentions, Jawbreaker, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and more. I love the fantasy aspect and all the graphics that are used to create the supernatural fiction and fantasy science fiction in shows like Charmed and the movie Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Possibly one day I would love to work on a project with fun fantasy science fiction!

This scene is from the 1996 Wes Craven horror film Scream. In this scene we see Sidney, the protagonist in the bathroom, when she is attacked by Ghostface. In this 2:33 minutes scene we see multiple angles and in 1:30 we see a shot from Sidney's point of view of her looking under the stalls to see if anyone is there. Then it cuts back to the audience seeing her and then again multiple point of view shots, of us seeing what Sidney sees. Again in 2:05 Sidney is looking under the stalls in a diagonal thrust shot. There is also some non-diegetic scary ominous sounds to present the killer, Ghostface, into the scene, the character cannot hear the music but us as the audience can. There are a lot of close up shots of Sidney's face and the other characters in the bathroom. Then after they do a close up shot, they go straight into a medium shot, showing the other two girls.
